Solar VTG Uses Parallels Virtualization Software to Deliver SaaS to SMBs

Absolute Performance and Parallels Partner in SaaS

Absolute Performance announced it is expanding the partnership with virtualization and hosting automation company Parallels to better enable managed services and hosting providers to achieve a strategic foothold in the expanding SaaS and On Demand marketplace. The announcement centers around extending Absolute Performance's application performance management SaaS software and services to work more closely with Parallels' virtualization and data center automation products. Parallels Aims at Internal, Channel Clouds

Parallels CEO Serguei Beloussov figures Google could dominate the cloud – the question is how much – with Microsoft at least a close second and maybe Apple can wrestle the rest of the wannabes like IBM, HP, Facebook, Adobe and EMC for third place. Leading Virtualization Company Launches Beta Version of Parallels Server

SWsoft has launched the beta version of Parallels Server, which is the company’s server virtualization software. The new version is touted to be the very first virtualization software that has the ability to operate on Apple’s Mac OS X Server v10.5 Leopard virtualized on Mac. Parallels announced that the latest version of its container-based server virtualization software -- Parallels Virtuozzo Containers -- is now generally available. Version 4.0 includes enhancements and features designed to improve usability, data center management and business continuity. Canonical to Resell Parallels Virtualization Software Through Ubuntu Partner Repository

Canonical announced the availability of Parallels Workstation for Linux through the Ubuntu Partner Repository -- giving Ubuntu users the ability to quickly find, install and run Parallels software. The Ubuntu Partner Repository and associated services from Canonical allow software providers to make their software readily available to Ubuntu users. The repository supplements the thousands of free and open source applications available through other Ubuntu repositories, and contains both proprietary and open source applications provided by Ubuntu Partners. Parallels announced that its Parallels Desktop for Mac has sold more than one million copies.
